CHILLICOTHE – Two good samaritans took a wallet that they found in a shopping cart to police after finding it in hopes it would get back to its rightful owner.
According to Ross County Sheriff’s office on 1/12/22 Deputies responded to a home in reference to a found wallet. The couple reported that while they were shopping at the local Walmart they found a pink-colored wallet inside a shopping cart, inside the wallet was an ID for a Ross County woman, so the couple decided to take it home to Ross County and contact the sheriff department to get it to the right owner.
Deputies collected the wallet and went to her address. Contact was made with the mother of the owner of the wallet at that address. The wallet was given to her and Deputies left the scene without issue
