Kroger Offers Seniors Exclusive Savings on May 8th

WESTERVILLE, OH (May 6, 2024) – Kroger’s Columbus Division is extending a special offer to seniors aged 55 and above, granting them an additional 5% discount on their total in-store purchases on Wednesday, May 8th, at all Ohio, Ohio Valley, and Lambertville, Michigan store locations. Eligible customers can avail of this offer by simply presenting their Kroger loyalty card or alternate ID and informing the cashier of their eligibility.

Mark Bruce, Corporate Affairs Manager for Kroger’s Columbus Division, emphasized Kroger’s commitment to providing fresh, affordable food for everyone. He highlighted that in these times of economic strain, Kroger aims to assist customers in maximizing their grocery budgets by offering low prices, personalized digital coupons, and weekly deals. The extra discount for senior shoppers is a further demonstration of Kroger’s dedication to serving its customers.

The one-day event is geared towards helping seniors save on a wide range of items including pantry staples, fresh produce, over-the-counter medications, household essentials, and more. Exclusions apply, such as alcohol, tobacco products, fuel, and gift cards, among others.

Moreover, Kroger encourages eligible recipients of Medicare part C Supplemental Allowance to utilize their over-the-counter (OTC) food benefit cards for a more convenient shopping experience. These cards can be used alongside other supplemental benefits programs, providing seniors with additional savings options.

To enhance the savings experience, Kroger offers customers access to over $600 in digital coupons every week through Kroger.com or the Kroger app. Additionally, customers can benefit from Boost by Kroger Plus, a delivery membership that offers savings on fuel and grocery delivery. Eligible customers can enjoy a free 30-day trial of the Boost membership and subscribe monthly for as little as $7.99.
