The seventh of close to two dozen super loads is rolling though Pickaway County this morning

In a remarkable feat of logistics, the transportation of a colossal “super load” commenced from a dock on the Ohio River near Manchester in Adams County, destined for New Albany in Licking County. This marks the seventh out of nearly twenty-two such massive cargoes scheduled to traverse this route.

The load in question, a hex/cold box air processor, boasts staggering dimensions, weighing in at a whopping 378,400 pounds and measuring approximately 19 feet 3 inches tall, 20 feet wide, and stretching 128 feet long.

For those tracking its journey, here are the details for Friday, April 19th:

The convoy will set out from Fairgrounds Road onto SR 104 at 9 a.m., embarking on a northward journey along SR 104 to SR 762 near Commercial Point. From there, they will continue eastward on State Route 762 until they reach Rickenbacker Parkway, where they will halt for the night.

For real-time updates as the convoy progresses through each county, interested parties are encouraged to follow their local ODOT District on social media.
