CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Homeland Credit Union was recognized with two major honors at the recent myCU Mortgage Partner Conference, celebrating both individual leadership and company-wide efforts to expand homeownership opportunities.
Mishion Payne, Vice President of Lending at Homeland Credit Union, received the Tim Mislansky Belief Award—the highest individual distinction presented by myCU Mortgage. The honor recognizes industry professionals who demonstrate exceptional leadership, professional dedication, and service to their local communities.
“Mishion embodies everything we value at Homeland,” said Shayne Poe, CEO of Homeland Credit Union. “Her commitment to serving members, giving back to the community, and helping families achieve the dream of homeownership makes her exceptionally deserving of the Tim Mislansky Belief Award.”
Alongside Payne’s individual award, Homeland Credit Union was named myCU Mortgage’s Marketer of the Year. The award highlights the institution’s effective outreach campaigns designed to lower barriers for homebuyers.
Specifically, myCU Mortgage pointed to Homeland’s Dream Home Mortgage program—launched in May—which allows qualified buyers to purchase a home with no down payment and no private mortgage insurance (PMI). The judges also recognized Homeland’s participation in direct-to-member educational campaigns and its low-closing-cost Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) offerings.
“Being named Marketer of the Year reinforces our team’s commitment to developing innovative solutions that remove barriers to homeownership and create opportunities for the communities we serve,” Poe added.
Homeland Credit Union provides a range of home financing services, including first-time buyer assistance, refinancing, and home equity options. Area residents seeking mortgage guidance can reach Homeland’s lending team at 740-775-3331.
