Deputies responded to a domestic argument at a SR 56 residence. No violence occurred and no charges were filed.—–



March 24, 2020
Deputies responded along with HCEMS to a Hide-A-Way Hills residence for an overdose.—–

March 24, 2020
The Sheriff’s Office received a complaint of animal cruelty. The Sheriff’s Office and Humane Society opened an investigation into the matter.—–

March 26, 2020
Deputies responded to a Homer St. residence for a breaking and entering compliant. The case remains under investigation.—–

March 26, 2020
Deputies took a report of criminal damaging after the resident of a group home kicked the vehicle of an employee.—–

March 26, 2020
A SR 664 resident reported to deputies that a firearm had been stolen from the residence. The firearm was entered into NCIC as stolen and the investigation is ongoing.—–

March 27, 2020
Deputies filed a report of the theft of a lawn ornament taken from a SR 93 residence.—–

March 28, 2020
Deputies responded to a Mill St. residence for the theft of an ATV. The vehicle was entered into LEADS/NCIC as stolen.—–

Deputies responded to a Main St. Rockbridge residence for the theft of a motor vehicle. The complainant provided deputies with a suspect who is often in the City of Logan. Logan PD was notified and located the vehicle and suspect in the City. After investigating the matter, deputies submitted the case file to the Prosecutor’s Office for review.—–

Deputies responded to a natural death at a Stump Run Rd. residence.—–

Deputies, acting on a tip, located an escapee from the STAR Community Justice Center in Nelsonville on Enterprise-Iles Rd. Mark A. Peoples, 48, Circleville was arrested and transported to the SEORJ.—–

March 28, 2020
Deputies responded to a Goose Creek Rd. address for a menacing complaint. Deputies were told by several different neighbors of threats made by each party. No charges were filed.—–

March 29, 2020
Deputies were requested to assist HCEMS at a Sutton Rd. residence for a possible overdose. Deputies arrived and administered one dose of Naloxone. HCEMS arrived and took over care of the patient. Juveniles were present and the report was forwarded to Children’s Services.
