May 8, 2022
Deputies responded to Woodard Road to a report of custody dispute. A female subject stated she was having issues stemming from her child custody exchange. Deputies spoke to both parties involved. They were advised to contact their attorney’s.

Deputies responded to Jake Tom Road to a report of a possible burglary. It was reported someone was attempting to gain access into the complainant’s residence. Deputies checked the residence but no one was located and no signs entry. Deputies discovered the complainant had warrant for his arrest.

Deputies responded Ovid Road to a report of criminal mischief. It was reported an Amazon truck got stuck on the complainant’s property causing damage. Pictures were taken of the damage and information was exchanged to get the damage repaired. A report will be on file.

Deputies responded to Keifel Road to a report of an assault. It was reported that an assault occurred between a group of juveniles. Deputies spoke to the parties involved. Statements were obtained and evidence was collected. The incident is still under investigation.

Deputies responded to Carbon Hill Buchtel Road to an unruly juvenile. It was reported a male juvenile was threatening his family and causing a disturbance. Deputies spoke to the parties involved and Hocking County Juvenile Probation. It was determined the juvenile would stay at the residence and charges were sent to the Hocking County Prosecutor’s Office.

Deputies responded to Laurel Run Road to a report of criminal mischief. It was reported damage had been done to a driveway. Evidence was collected and statements were obtained. The incident is still under investigation.

Deputies responded to Creamery Hill Road to a female subject in a mental health crisis. It was reported a female was causing a disturbance at her residence. Deputies spoke to the female subject and witnesses. Deputies later transported the female subject to Hocking Valley Community Hospital for treatment.

Deputies responded to Hayden Place Apartments to a report of an overdose. It was reported a male subject was overdosing on an unknown narcotic. Medics from Hocking County Emergency Services arrived on scene and later transported the male subject to Hocking Valley Community Hospital for treatment. Deputies spoke to the witnesses and obtained statements.

Deputies responded to Old McArthur Road to a report of identity theft. It was reported a male subject had his identity stolen multiple times over the years. A statement was obtained and evidence was collected. The incident is still under investigation.

Deputies responded to Goose Creek Road to a report of menacing. It was reported a landlord and a tenant got into a verbal altercation. The tenant was being evicted and stated some of his items were missing. During the altercation, the landlord stated the tenant threatened him. Deputies spoke to both parties and collected statements. The tenant left the property.

Deputies responded to Sanner Road to a report of menacing. It was reported a female subject was locked out of a residence and causing a disturbance. Deputies spoke to the parties involved. The female subject was advised to leave the residence since she didn’t live there.

Deputies responded to Old McArthur Road to a report of a stolen vehicle. It was reported a motorcycle was stolen from the complainant. Statements were obtained and evidence was collected. The incident is still under investigation.

Deputies assigned to the Hocking Valley Community Hospital responded to Emergency Department to a report of a male subject in a mental health crisis. Deputies spoke to the male subject. He was treated for his mental health crisis and later released.

Deputies responded to Hocking Drive to a report of criminal trespass. It was reported a male and female subject were staying at a residence they did not have permission to be in. Deputies spoke to the parties involved and advised the male and female subjects to leave the property.

Deputies responded to Homer Avenue to a report of criminal mischief. It was reported a window was broken out of a building located at the Hocking County Fairgrounds. Evidence was collected. The incident is still under investigation.

Deputies assigned to the Hocking Valley Community Hospital responded to Snowden Street to perform a well-being check on a female subject. Deputies spoke to the female involved. She was later transported to Hocking Valley Community for treatment and was released.

Deputies responded to Sanner Road to a report of a suspicious vehicle/subjects. It was reported there was a vehicle parked at an address and the occupants were wearing ski masks. Deputies spoke to the subjects and advised them to leave the area.

Deputies responded to Walnut Dowler Road to a report of a subject needing medical attention. It was reported a male subject was bleeding from his arm and requested an ambulance to take him to the hospital because his vehicle ran out of gas. The male subject was transported to Hocking Valley Community Hospital for treatment. Deputies discovered drug paraphernalia in plain vehicle inside the subject’s vehicle. A search warrant was obtained to search the vehicle. Evidence was collected and the incident was forwarded to the Hocking County Prosecutor’s Office for Grand Jury consideration.

Deputies responded to Big Pine Road to a report of a theft. It was reported a registration sticker was stolen from a license plate. Deputies located the vehicle but not the registration sticker. The incident is still under investigation.

Deputies responded to Hide Away Hills to a report of located drug paraphernalia. It was reported a security guard located drug paraphernalia in a public restroom. Statements were obtained and Deputies took the paraphernalia and placed it into evidence.

Deputies responded to Harble Griffith Road to a report of a verbal domestic dispute. It was reported an argument occurred at a rental cabin. Deputies spoke to the parties involved and assisted them in working out their differences.

Deputies responded to Maysville Greendale Road to a report of verbal domestic dispute. It was reported a male juvenile was threatening his mother and made suicidal threats. Deputies spoke to the parties involved. The male juvenile was transported to Hocking Valley Community Hospital for mental health treatment.

Deputies while patrolling First Street observed a structure fire. Fire Services were requested and were able to extinguish the fire. During the fire, Deputies had to warn a male subject for misconduct at an emergency scene. The incident is still under investigation.

Deputies responded to Parkway Drive to a report of a verbal domestic dispute. It was reported that a male and female subject were in an argument. During the investigation, the male subject obstructed official business. Statements were obtained. The male subject was late transported to the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail.

Deputies assigned to Hocking Valley Community Hospital responded to the Emergency Department to a report of a male subject being disorderly. It was reported the male subject was not listening to Hospital Staff. The male subject complied and was treated by Staff.

A complainant came to the Sheriff’s Office to report an incident. Deputies spoke to the female and assisted her in obtaining resources from other agencies. The incident was forwarded to the Hocking County Prosecutor’s Office.

Deputies responded to Gore Greendale Road to a report of a missing person. It was reported that the complainant’s niece was missing. Statements were obtained and evidence was collected. Detectives assisted in the investigation. The female subject was later located and spoke to Detectives.

Deputies responded to Keifel Road to a report of an assault. It was reported a male juvenile had been assaulted. Deputies spoke to a male juvenile and his mother. After investigating the incident it was discovered the male juvenile made up the assault and nothing occurred.

Deputies responded to the Hocking/Fairfield County line to pick up a female subject who had a warrant for her arrest. It was reported Lancaster Police Department picked up the female on her warrant. She was transported to the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail.

Deputies responded to Darl Road to a report of a domestic violence incident. It was reported a male juvenile had assaulted his mother. Statements were obtained and evidence was collected. The male juvenile was transported to the Multi-County Juvenile Detention Center.

Deputies responded to Haydenville Road to a report of menacing. It was reported the complainant was receiving messages over Facebook Messenger from her sister. There were no threats in the messages. Deputies advised they would document the incident and to contact our office if the incident persist.

Deputies responded to Jefferson Street to a report of domestic violence. It was reported that a male subject may have a firearm on his person and the incident occurred between a father and his son. Deputies located the son and checked him for any weapons, of which he had none. Deputies spoke to the parties involved and obtained statements. The son was later transported to the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail.

Deputies responded to Stump Run Road to a report of theft. It was reported a license plate was stolen off the complainant’s vehicle. The plate’s number was entered into the National Crime Information Center.

Deputies responded to Haydenville Road to report of a protection order violation. It was reported that a male subject was at a residence that was listed on the protection order. Deputies located the male subject and he was transported to the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail. The incident is being forwarded to the Hocking County Prosecutor’s Office for other possible charges.

Deputies responded to West Street to a report of a possible overdose. It was reported a male subject was slumped over in his vehicle. Deputies made contact with the male subject. The male subject stated his stomach was hurting but he wasn’t overdosing. Medics from Hocking County Emergency Services were on scene to provide treatment. Deputies recovered a large amount of narcotics from the male subject. He was later transported to the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail.

Deputies responded to Zwickle Road to a complaint of littering. It was reported several bags of trash were located on the complainant’s and his neighbor’s property. Deputies were unable to determine who the trash belonged to.

Deputies responded to Scout Road to a report of a burglary. It was reported someone broke into the complainant’s residence. It was discovered that several items were taken from the residence. Evidence was collected and statements were obtained. The incident is still under investigation.

Deputies responded to State Route 328 to a report of a possible domestic violence incident. It was reported a male and female subject were in an argument while at the Chieftain Sunoco Gas Station. Deputies spoke to the parties involved and determined the incident was verbal.

It was reported a male subject was there to be medically cleared before he was transported to jail. The incident is being forwarded to the Hocking County Prosecutor’s Office for possible charges.

Deputies responded to Saunders Road to a report of a custody dispute. Deputies spoke to the parties involved. It was determined the children involved would stay at their current residence for the evening.

Deputies responded to East Fork Road to a report of a camper fire. It was reported that a male subject was possibly inside the camper. After the fire was extinguished it was determined that no one was inside. The State Fire Marshal was contacted to investigate the incident.

Deputies responded to Stout Road to a report of a burglary. It was reported that the complainant’s residence was broken into and several items were taken. Evidence was collected and statements were obtained. The incident is still under investigation.

Deputies spoke to the juvenile and did not see any marks or injuries. The juvenile was upset due to his father taking away his vape pen. Deputies spoke to the juvenile and was advised to listen to his parents.

Deputies responded to Highland Park Road to a report of a private property crash. It was reported a truck had backed into a parked vehicle. Pictures were taken and evidence was collected. A report was filed for insurance purposes.

Deputies responded to Broad Street to a report of an assault. It was reported a male subject assaulted a female subject inside her camper. The male subject left prior to the Deputies’ arrival. A statement was obtained and evidence was collected. The incident was forwarded to the Hocking County Prosecutor’s Office for charges.

Deputies spoke to the male subject who was making suicidal statements. The male subject was evaluated and is waiting to be placed in a treatment facility.

Deputies responded to Chieftain Drive to a report of an assault. It was reported a male and female subject were in an altercation. The female subject stated the male subject had choked her. Deputies observed injuries to the female’s neck. The male subject left prior to the Deputies’ arrival and took the female’s cell phone. The female subject refused any further assistance and she was advised a report would be on file.

Deputies responded to Miller Road to a report of a suspicious vehicle. It was reported a male subject was sitting outside the complainant’s residence for several hours. Deputies made contact with the male subject. Medics from Hocking County Emergency Services arrived on scene to assist. The male subject was later transported to Hocking Valley Community Hospital for treatment.

Deputies responded to Dawley New Pittsburg Road to a report of a theft. It was reported the complainant’s vehicle was stolen. It was later recovered in the City of Nelsonville by the Ohio State Highway Patrol. After investigating the incident, it was determined the vehicle was not stolen and permission was given to the driver.

Deputies responded to Drummond Drive to a female subject in a mental health crisis. It was reported a female subject was driving around the area with her music blaring and yelling. Deputies made contact with the female subject. She was later transported to her appointment with Hopewell Behavioral Health.

Deputies responded to State Route 664S to a report of property dispute. It was reported that neighbors sprayed weed killer on the complainants grass. Deputies were unable to make contact with the suspects.

Deputies responded to Starr Route Road to a motor vehicle crash. It was reported a vehicle crashed into a ditch. Deputies were unable to make contact with the vehicle owner and there was no one around the vehicle after the crash. The vehicle was inventoried and towed.
