HOCKING – Hocking County Sheriff Lanny E. North reports:

December 2, 2019
A Township Rd. 430 resident came to the Sheriff’s Office to report a burglary and theft of medication from their residence. After completing the report, it was determined the offense occurred in Perry County. The report was forwarded to the Perry County Sheriff’s Office for follow up.—–

December 2, 2019
Deputies investigated a crash on SR 664. A driver struck a deer that entered the roadway, which was then struck from the rear by another vehicle. The driver of the second vehicle was cited for assured clear distance ahead.—–

December 3, 2019
Deputies responded to an Adams St. residence for a verbal domestic situation. No violence occurred and no charges were filed.—–

December 4, 2019
Deputies responded to a report of domestic violence at a Victory Dr. residence. After investigation it was determined that no violence occurred and no charges were filed.—–

December 4, 2019
Deputies responded to a SR 327 residence for a breaking and entering complaint. The victim told deputies that while they were at work, person(s) unknown broke into the garage and stole a 2019 KTM 350 dirt bike. The investigation is ongoing.—–

December 4, 2019
Deputies responded to a Conrad Rd. residence for a harassment complaint. The victim told deputies that another person was making false allegations about them. The victim and one of the suspects are juveniles and attend school together. School officials were to be notified to monitor the situation. Deputies told both parties not to have contact with one another.—–

December 5, 2019
Deputies responded to a Voris Rd. residence for a theft complaint. The victim told deputies that after losing their debit card, an unknown purchase was made with the card. The case was forwarded to the detective bureau for follow up.—–

December 6, 2019
An Old McArthur Rd. resident came to the Sheriff’s Office to report their vehicle stolen from their residence. The victim told deputies that the theft occurred overnight and that the keys were inside the vehicle. The vehicle was entered as stolen in the NCIC database and the investigation is ongoing.—–

December 6, 2019
A Maysville-Greendale Rd. resident came to the Sheriff’s Office to report an incident of violation of child visitation agreement. Deputies advised the complainant to contact their attorney or the courts, since they have a hearing on December 10th.—–

December 6, 2019
Deputies responded to a SR 56 residence for a verbal domestic situation and possible overdose. HCEMS also responded. No violence occurred and no overdose occurred.—–

December 6, 2019
Deputies received a report of an intoxicated driver near Rockbridge on U.S. 33. Deputies located the vehicle and observed several traffic violation and conducted a traffic stop. Upon contact with the driver, Gail Minor, 58, Lancaster, deputies could smell a strong odor of alcoholic beverage coming from Ms. Minor. Minor refused field sobriety testing and was arrested for OVI. Minor would not give a valid breath sample, but a urine sample was collected and submitted to the OSHP lab for analysis. Minor was cited for OVI and Marked Lanes and released to a sober person.—–

December 6, 2019
Deputies took a report from a Krafter Rd. resident. The victim told deputies that a person in a dark colored pickup truck, stopped, unloaded a skid steer and removed 4 walnut logs, 8-12 feet in length and 12-24 inches in diameter from their property. The case remains under investigation.—–

December 7, 2019
Deputies responded to an Unger Rd. residence for a well-being check. Deputies found the resident extremely intoxicated and after unsuccessful attempts to contact someone to assist him, he was charged with disorderly conduct by intoxication and transported to the SEORJ for a 6 hour hold to sober up.—–

December 7, 2019
Deputies responded to a report of a domestic violence situation along SR 56 after being witnessed by a passerby. Deputies found the victim and witness and were told that the suspect had assaulted the victim. Deputies located the suspect, Roger W. Richards, 23, Laurelville, who denied any assault. Richards was arrested and charged with Domestic Violence and Assault and transported to the SEORJ.—–

December 7, 2019
Deputies responded to a First St. Carbon Hill residence for an aggravated menacing complaint. After investigation, deputies arrested Tim Littleton, 53, Carbon Hill for Aggravated Menacing. Littleton was transported to the SEORJ.—–

December 7, 2019
Deputies responded to a SR 374 residence for a domestic violence complaint. After investigation, it was determined that no violence had occurred and that all parties were frustrated over living conditions. It was recommended that the parties separate for the time being.—–

December 7, 2019
Deputies investigated a single vehicle crash at the Fairgrounds. An ODOT truck backed into a utility pole. The pole had damage, but the truck did not sustain any damage.—–

December 7, 2019
Deputies investigated a burglary at a Lime Bank Rd. residence. The case remains under investigation.—–

December 8, 2019
Deputies responded to a Little Rd. residence for a theft complaint.—–

December 8, 2019
Deputies responded to a Crawford Rd. residence for criminal damaging complaint. After investigation, the case file was referred to the Prosecutor’s Office.—–

December 9, 2019
Deputies investigated a crash on Dawley Rd. in which a vehicle that was towing another vehicle lost control driving off the right side of the roadway and into a ditch suffering minor damage. The driver was cited for Operating Without Reasonable Control.—–

December 9, 2019
Deputies responded to a domestic violence call at a Cook Rd. residence. After investigation, deputies arrested Jeffrey A. Bolin, 25, Logan for Domestic Violence, Assault and a warrant from Logan PD for theft. Bolin was transported to the SEORJ.
