September 17, 2020
A Liberty Hill Rd. resident came to the Sheriff’s Office to file a report of domestic violence that had occurred a few days prior. The case remains under investigation.

Detectives met with a Main St. Laurelville resident regarding a domestic violence complaint. The complainant told detectives that they were having difficulties controlling their juvenile child who becomes violent. The case remains under investigation.

Detectives, acting on information from the Athens County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a Third St. Carbon Hill residence. Detectives found and seized multiple items believed to be stolen, including an ATV and catalytic converters. Detectives arrested Brian K. Johnson, 37, Carbon Hill and transported him to the SEORJ.

A Lake Logan Rd. resident came to the Sheriff’s Office to file a complaint of domestic violence. The case was forwarded to the Logan Police Department for investigation.

Deputies responded to a Hansel Ave. residence for a burglary complaint. The case remains under investigation.

Deputies responded to a Wheeler Rd. residence at the request of Perry County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies arrested Gregory J. Youtsey, 33, Shawnee for a Perry County arrest warrant and Violating a Protection Order. Youtsey was transported to the SEORJ.

September 24, 2020
Deputies responded to a Bauer Rd. cabin rental for a domestic violence complaint. A minor incident of pushing and shoving occurred along with a verbal argument. The case was referred to the Prosecutor’s Office for review. The parties agreed to separate for the night.

Deputies responded to a Haydenville Rd. residence for a domestic argument. No violence occurred and no charges were filed.

September 26, 2020
Deputies responded to a vehicle fire on Wahl Rd. Logan Fire responded and extinguished the fire. The vehicle was removed from the roadway.

Deputies responded to a Carbon Hill-Buchtel Rd. residence for a fire. The resident was burning an old structure. The Ward Township Fire Dept. was on the scene.

September 27, 2020
Deputies responded to a Pike St. Laurelville residence for a theft complaint. The complainant told deputies that they were moving into the residence and left for a short time and when they returned, items left in the yard had been stolen. The case remains under investigation.

September 26, 2020
Deputies responded to a Rockbridge business for a disturbance complaint. When deputies arrived they learned a person was suicidal in a vehicle and they had stopped. Deputies requested a medic from HCEMS, who transported to HVCH for treatment and evaluation.

Deputies responded to a natural death at a Goose Creek Rd. residence.

Deputies responded to a SR 93 residence for a domestic argument. No charges were filed.

September 27, 2020
Deputies responded to a Buena Vista Rd. residence for a domestic argument. No violence occurred and no charges were filed. The parties agreed to separate for the night.
