GROVE CITY, Ohio — A Grove City man is facing a felonious assault charge after a shooting Thursday evening left another man hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to the Grove City Division of Police, officers were dispatched at approximately 6:09 p.m. on July 16, 2026, to the area of Richard Avenue and Parlin Drive following reports of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they found an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Police immediately provided medical aid before the victim was transported to a local hospital. Authorities said the victim’s injuries were not considered life-threatening.
As the investigation unfolded, officers identified a location connected to the shooting and determined Malik Chandler was the alleged suspect.
Police said Chandler cooperated with investigators and was taken into custody without incident. He has been charged with felonious assault and was transported to jail.
