Columbus, OH – This weekend, car enthusiasts from across the country are converging on the Ohio Expo Center for the highly anticipated Goodguys 26th Summit Racing Nationals presented by PPG. From July 12th to July 14th, the event promises to be a haven for vintage and classic car aficionados, showcasing over 6,500 spectacular hot rods, trucks, customs, muscle cars, and classics from 1999 and earlier.
Hosted at the Ohio Expo Center located at 717 E 17th Ave, the event kicks off on Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, followed by full-day activities on Saturday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and concluding on Sunday from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.
A highlight of this year’s Nationals is the introduction of the Builder’s Autograph Session on Saturday at 3:00 pm in the Celeste Building, featuring some of the industry’s top names. Additionally, enthusiasts can witness the unveiling of the Goodguys 2024/2025 Giveaway Car and cheer on the crowning of the Goodguys 2024 Street Machine of the Year and Street Rod of the Year.
For those eager for high-octane action, the event will feature the Autocross series Forgeline “Buckeye” Shootout, offering thrilling racing competitions throughout the weekend. Visitors can also enjoy the Nitro Thunderfest Dragster Exhibition and the Pro Street Cruise presented by Lokar, scheduled twice on Saturday.
A must-see exhibit is the Goodguys “60 Years of the GTO” Special Indoor Car Show at Kasich Hall. Celebrating the 60th anniversary of the iconic Pontiac GTO, the exhibit will display over 100 GTO models spanning from 1964 to 1974, including later models revived from 2004 to 2006.
In addition to the expansive showcase of vehicles, the event boasts a vibrant atmosphere with over 450 Vendor & Manufacturer Exhibits, a Swap Meet & Cars 4 Sale Corral, and the Goodgals Arts & Crafts Gallery. Families can enjoy the Kids Zone offering free arts and crafts, games, and the popular Kids Make and Take sessions.
