Originating in 1984, the festival pays homage to the vibrant history and culture of the Native American tribes that once thrived in the area. Chillicothe, nestled in a region once inhabited by tribes such as the Shawnee and the Hopewell, holds deep significance as a historical site where these communities flourished for millennia.

Set against the picturesque backdrop of Yoctangee Park, the festival spans three days, offering an array of activities and attractions for attendees.
