A tragic accident occurred on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at approximately 5:29 p.m. in Darby Township, Pickaway County. A two-vehicle crash took place at the intersection of US-62 and County Road 500 (Era Road), resulting in one fatality.
According to authorities, a 2022 Ford F450 driven by 38-year-old Dustin Quinlan was traveling southbound on US-62 when a 2011 Honda CRV driven by 45-year-old Sara Martin failed to yield while traveling eastbound on County Road 500. The Honda was struck by the Ford, causing both vehicles to travel off the eastbound side of US-62.
Sara Martin was transported to Mount Carmel Grove City Hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. Dustin Quinlan sustained minor injuries and was not transported.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Circleville Post is investigating the crash, with assistance from the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office, Madison County Sheriff’s Office, Tri County Fire Department, and Mount Sterling Joint Medic. The investigation is ongoing.
