Lancaster Post- A fatal accident between a vehicle and a horse and buggy is under investigation by the State Highway Patrol. It took place just before 6pm Sunday on McCullough Road Southeast in the area of State Route 312.
The Lancaster Post of the State Highway Patrol said a horse and buggy operated by 65-year-old Perry Coblentz was traveling east on Township Road 322 when the horse was struck by 72-year-old Earl James Nixon who was traveling westbound on Township Road 322.
The horse and buggy traveled off the right side of the road and overturned. The patrol said Klayton Coblentz, a passenger in the horse and buggy succumbed to his injuries.
