Week in Review – Top Incidents
Nov. 16, 2020
*Identity Theft, 210 E. Main St.; Lancaster: County HR requested a report regarding the theft of several county employee’s identity in order to apply for un-employment benefits.
*Vandalism, Lancaster-Newark Rd NE; Walnut Twp.: Caller requested a telephone report to document damage to warehouse property.
*Identity Theft, High St.; Carroll: Caller/Victim filed a report about unknown person(s) attempting to file for unemployment benefits in her name.
*Accident at SR 204 and Carriage Ln. Two car MVA.
*Accident at 3520 SR 256. One car MVA into a power pole.
*Theft at Thrush Dr. CW. Caller reported someone broke into her vehicle and stole her purse.
*Criminal Damage at S. Main St. in Pleasantville. Caller reported three juveniles throwing rocks at cars and his vehicle was damaged.

Nov. 17, 2020
*Theft at CW Walmart. Warrant filed for a previous theft once suspect was ID’d.
*Vandalism at Crawfis Rd. Caller reported someone backed into his gate and damaged it.
*Accident at 33 and Gender Rd. Three car MVA.

Nov. 18, 2020
*Theft, Prentiss School Dr., Caller states an employee stole a deposit bag that had money in it.
*Vandalism, Schwilk Rd., Caller states her vehicle was damaged by her neighbor’s dog.
*Robbery, 2735 Columbus Lancaster Rd., Caller states a male came into the store and passed a note to a cashier stating: give me all the money, I have a gun and I don’t want to hurt anyone so don’t be a hero. Units were dispatched to the area. A vehicle and suspect description were relayed to all units. Deputies were sitting in the area of US 33 @ Diley Rd. when they advised that they had spotted the suspect vehicle. They conducted a felony traffic stop. There was a male and female in the vehicle. They were taken into custody without incident. The detective bureau responded and took control of the scene.
*Auto Accident, Columbus Lancaster Rd., Caller states someone hit her vehicle sometime overnight.
*Litter Complaint, Market St., Caller advised of illegal dumping at this location.
*Auto Accident, 6600 Gender Rd., 3 vehicle non injury accident.
*Theft, Stonecreek Dr., Caller states he discovered a fraudulent charge on his bank credit card.
*Auto Accident, Ashtone Ct., two vehicle non injury accident.
*Information: US 33 @ Pickerington Rd., Deputy conducted a traffic stop and the driver exited the vehicle and tried to evade arrest. The Deputy Dep. Meloy was able to apprehend the subject.
*Auto Accident: SR 188 @ Tiki Lane: two vehicle injury accident.
*Assist to OSP. Christmas Rock Rd. by the prison power plant. A MC crashed in this area. FD, OSP and our units arrived to assist for traffic detail due to Air Evac called in to airlift the driver to hospital.

Nov. 19, 2020
*Accident, Tarkiln Rd. SE – one car mva – Unknown driver drove his vehicle in to the creek behind this trailer. Deputy handled the report and placed a hold on the vehicle pending an investigation.

*Narcotics/Traffic Stop, U.S. 33 and Pickerington Rd. Deputy conducted a traffic stop for a marked lanes violation and discovered 115 grams of suspected methamphetamine and 7 grams of heroin. He arrested two males and a female for drug trafficking. They were all slated to our jail on trafficking charges as well as a few other charges.

*Theft, 8300 Meijer Dr. Deputies went on a check well-being initially and located a male that had a warrant and a female that had a laceration to her hand that Meijer thought was stealing. The male was arrested for the warrant and transported to jail and one of the Deputies is completing an investigation in reference to the theft portion of the call.

*Burglary, Dogwood Dr., Caller states someone gained entry through a window and caused damage inside the residence. The home was purchased through a foreclosure.
*Information, Caller states she was using a transportation company to get to work. She stated the driver tried to expose “himself” to the caller.
*Information, Blue Valley Rd., Caller states her vehicle was damaged; but unsure how.
*Auto Accident: ST RT 37 @ ST RT 256, one vehicle injury accident. Caller states a telephone pole was struck and power lines are down. SCP responded to repair and restore power.
*Theft, Bixby Rd., Caller states items taken from a supply trailer.
*Narcotics at Lake Rd. Callers were reporting a male was laying in the ditch across from his house. Units made contact and the subject was in possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arrested and transported to jail.

Nov. 20. 2020
*Traffic Stop: Della Ave @ Chestnut St., Deputy conducted a traffic stop at this location. The driver of the vehicle fled on foot. A perimeter was set up and approximately 30 minutes later. The suspect was taken into custody.
*Auto Accident, US 33 @ Pickerington Rd., two vehicle hit skip non injury accident. Caller states a small grey Honda struck her vehicle and took off.
*Theft, Election House Rd., Caller states she ordered a product and never received the product; however, the money was taken from her account.
*Auto Accident, Washington St., two vehicle non injury accident.
*Auto Accident, US 33 @ Diley Rd., two vehicle injury accident.
*Auto Accident, Rainbow Dr., one vehicle accident with property damage only.

Nov. 21, 2020
*Theft at Broadway St. Caller reporting the theft of a package.
*Assist to PPD reference a shooting scene on Florence Dr. Units arrived and assisted PPD who was fighting with the suspect. All units took the male into custody and PPD transported to jail.

Nov. 22, 2020
*Accident, 2 vehicle, non-injury, Gender and Waterloo
*Injury-Accident, 2 vehicle, Delmont/22
*Report, Gun Barrel Rd- Deputy conducted a traffic stop due to 2 different license plates on the vehicle. The driver was suspended, and the passenger advised of a name and did not know his social security number or date of birth. It was later found out that the passenger had a warrant. Both driver and passenger were arrested for obstructing and transported to the Fairfield County Jail.
*Report, Shell Beach Rd- Caller advised detached garage entered and items stolen.
*Narcotics, 33 wb at Diley Rd, Traffic stop upon investigation found the driver had a warrant out for his arrest. Also located was drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. Driver arrested for warrant and summons issued for paraphernalia.
*Larceny, Coonpath Rd, ref to theft of tree stand and damage to trail camera.
*Hit Skip, 2900 Columbus Lancaster, Caller was at her house and advised she was hit by a car in the Meijer’s parking lot.
*Burglary, Old Logan Rd, Caller advised she believes her storage unit was broken into and items taken.
