OHIO – Govenor Dewine today stepped up his orders and mandated masks throughout Ohio starting tomorrow July 23 at 6 pm. He also set in place a travel ban to anyone coming into Ohio.

“Today, I’m announcing a travel advisory for all individuals coming into #Ohio from states reporting positive testing rates of 15% or higher for #COVID19 and recommend that those individuals self-quarantine for 14 days,” said Gov Dewine,”If you’re traveling from one of these yellow states, you should self-quarantine at home or in a hotel. This applies to those who live in Ohio and those traveling here from these states, whether they are traveling for businesses or vacationing.

Other states have implemented similar orders mandating self quarantine for 14 days after vacationing out of state where cases were high.

“This situation is not unique. We have heard from multiple local health departments that they are tracing cases related to out-of-state travel. Trips to states where there are high positivity rates, such as South Carolina and Florida, are leading to outbreaks here in Ohio.”
