POWELL, OH – In honor of those serving our country, the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium will host a “Military Family Free Days” from July 3 – July 11, 2021, presented by Bob Evans Farms. During this week, military personnel, both past and present, and their immediate family may enjoy free admission to the Zoo and discounted admission to Zoombezi Bay.

Active-duty service members and veterans will need to present their military ID or other proof of service to receive this special admission offer. Parking is $10 per vehicle, and immediate family is defined as active veterans, retired military personnel, active duty military personnel, Reserves and Guard members, their spouse/domestic partner and any children living in the household. Discounted admission to Zoombezi Bay is $25.99 per person for the service member, as well as for their immediate family members, and $23.99 per child or senior in the party.

Bob Evans Farms’ participation in Military Family Free Days is part of its Our Farm Salutes initiative, a national philanthropic effort dedicated to supporting active-duty service members, veterans, and their families. Over the course of Military Family Free Days, Bob Evans Farms will be giving away 15,000 product coupons at the Zoo’s entrance for anyone with a valid military ID.

During your visit to the Zoo you can also experience the Eyes of Freedom: Lima Company Memorial. This traveling memorial depicts the fallen Marines and Navy Corpsman of Columbus, Ohio based Lima Company 3/25, one of the most heavily engaged units of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and includes 23 life-sized portraits. The mission of the nonprofit is to honor the service and sacrifice of all of the thousands of men and women who have served our country in every branch of the armed forces, not forgetting the returning veterans coming home to us. You can see the Eyes of Freedom memorial from July 7to July 11 at the Conservation Lake trellis! Visit www.EyesofFreedom.org for more information!
