CIRCLEVILLE — Cicely Esterline, from Circleville, made history on June 19 when she was crowned Miss Ohio’s Teen at Miss Ohio Week in Ashland. She is the first young woman from Pickaway County to earn the title and will proudly represent Circleville, Pickaway County, and the State of Ohio at Miss America’s Teen Week in West Palm Beach, Florida. Cicely departs on August 29 and will compete through September 5.
As Cicely prepares to leave for Miss America Week, the community is coming together to celebrate her achievements and send her off with pride and support. Pickaway County families, friends, and supporters are invited to attend her Send-Off Celebration on Sunday, August 9 from 12 PM to 4 PM at OCU’s Ministry & Performing Arts Center (MPAC).
Since her crowning, Cicely has embraced her statewide role with enthusiasm and humility. Her summer has included a series of official appearances and community engagements:
Ontario Liberty Festival (Ontario, OH) – Cicely performed her scholarship-award Miss Ohio’s Teen Talent Award lyrical dance, “Hero,” dedicated to America’s veterans. Her initiative, Boots to Bravery: Supporting and Honoring Our Nation’s Heroes, made the performance especially meaningful.
Ashville 4th of July Parade (Pickaway County) – Cicely celebrated Independence Day close to home, greeting neighbors and families who supported her since childhood.
Celina Lake Festival and Miss Lake Festival Competition (Celina, OH) – Cicely performed a lively jazz dance to Bette Midler’s “Big Noise,” showcasing her versatility as a state titleholder.
Chillicothe VA & Chillicothe Paints Veterans Appreciation Day – She met veterans, listened to their stories, and later joined the Paints for their Veterans Appreciation game.
Opening Day of the Ohio State Fair (Columbus) – Cicely helped kick-off the opening day ceremonies at the newly renovated fair and was among the first riders of its celebrated handcrafted carousel.
Baltimore Festival Queen’s Contest (Baltimore) – to be held this Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 6:00 PM, she will serve as Mistress of Ceremonies at the historic Victoria Opera House.
In addition to her service, Cicely has maintained an intensive artistic schedule. Since June 22, she has trained six days a week in BalletMet’s prestigious Summer Intensive and Company Repertory Week, elite audition-only programs selecting dancers nationwide based solely on talent and artistry.
The August 9th event will feature Cicely’s Miss America wardrobe, talent performance, Q&A session, and entertainment from members of the Miss Ohio’s Teen Class of 2026. Cicely will also be available for photos, autographs, and personal conversations.
