Circleville Schools Reports “Safety Incident” At School


Circleville – Local City Schools reported today that there was a, “threat” made against the district by a student, but the incident has been dealt with.

According to a statement from the Circleville City Schools, “I am writing to inform you about a safety incident. This evening the Circleville Police Department informed school administrators that a verbal threat was made against our District by a student. The threat was swiftly investigated by CPD and the source of the threat has been identified. The matter is now in the hands of law enforcement. The safety and security of our students and staff remains our priority. We want to thank the Circleville Police Department, along with our School Resource Officer, for their quick response to this matter,” said Dr. Kimberly Halley Superintendent of Schools.

As a precautionary measure, there will be extra police presence on Campus tomorrow.
