CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — The Circleville Police Department handled a wide array of calls over a busy 24-hour period on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, responding to 41 total incidents ranging from proactive business checks to criminal investigations.
According to the official media dispatch logs released on June 4, the department’s day was marked by several warrant arrests, juvenile disturbances, and ongoing neighborhood disputes.
Multiple Arrests and Key Police Action
Officers successfully executed two warrant arrests throughout the afternoon:
- At 12:42 p.m., officers located and arrested an individual on a warrant in the area of South Court Street.
- A second warrant arrest was made just a few hours later, at 5:01 p.m., following a stop or encounter on US Route 23.
Violent and fraudulent behavior also required formal reports. Officers responded to a reported fight on Margaret Avenue at 2:27 p.m., where a formal report was filed. Earlier in the afternoon, at 2:24 p.m., a victim on East Ohio Street contacted authorities to file a official report regarding a fraud complaint.
Domestic Disputes, Harassment, and Late-Night Juvenile Complaints
Harassment and domestic trouble kept officers moving from the morning hours into the late night:
- Harassment Cases: Police took an official threats and harassment report on South Court Street at 1:23 a.m. They were called to similar complaints on West High Street (neighbor trouble), North Scioto Street, and East Franklin Street later in the day.
- Domestic Trouble: Officers were dispatched to South Washington Street at 9:32 p.m. regarding a domestic dispute, which resulted in a formal police report.
- Juvenile Complaints: Dealing with local youth kept night-shift crews busy. Incidents included an early morning complaint on Barry Drive and an afternoon issue on Lancaster Pike. By 10:52 p.m., officers were dispatched to Pinckney Street, where they filed an official report for an unruly juvenile.
Proactive Patrols and Minor Incidents
The vast majority of the 41 recorded interactions involved proactive policing and minor community assistance. Officers discovered two open doors during early morning preventive patrols on Sycamore Drive, both of which were checked and secured.
The department also managed a handful of minor traffic stops resulting in warnings, answered two 911 hang-up calls, assisted with a vehicle lockout on State Route 361, and documented a single non-injury traffic accident on East Ohio Street at 6:19 p.m.
