CIRCLEVILLE, OH — The Circleville Police Department has launched an investigation into a suspicious death following an emergency call on the city’s North side on Wednesday afternoon.
Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Ridgeview Drive (Elsea’s) at approximately 12:30 PM on April 29, 2026, after receiving a report of a female who was not breathing.
One Deceased, One Hospitalized
Upon arrival, emergency responders confirmed that one individual was deceased at the scene. A second person was found at the residence and immediately transported to OhioHealth Berger Hospital for medical treatment. The condition and identity of that individual have not yet been released.
Scene Under Investigation
As of Wednesday afternoon, Circleville Police have established a perimeter around the home, cordoning off the property with crime scene tape. Plainclothes investigators and uniformed officers remain on the scene as they work to determine the circumstances surrounding the death.
The department is currently treating the incident as a suspicious death investigation. Officials have not stated whether they believe foul play is involved or if there is any ongoing threat to the community.
