Circleville Police Arrest one for Child Enticement at Circleville School

CIRCLEVILLE – On January 18, 2019 at approximately 2:29 PM, School Resource Officer David McIntyrewas on patrol in the area of Circleville Middle School (360 Clark Drive). The school had passed along an anonymous tip of an adult male was intending to pick up a student after school. He observed a suspicious vehicle which had been in the student pickup line. The vehicle rapidly left the parking lot when the driver noticed Ofc. McIntyre watching him.

Ofc. McIntyre stopped the vehicle, being driven by Christopher J. Bartholomew, 26 of Circleville, for investigative purposes. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that Christopher was intending to pick up a juvenile without the parent’s knowledge.

 

 

Christopher was placed under arrest for Criminal Child Enticement and transported to the Pickaway County Jail. He is held pending his initial appearance in Circleville Municipal Court on January 22, 2019. The child was unharmed due to the keen observation and quick actions Ofc. McIntyre and Circleville City Schools Staff.
