Circleville – A Circleville man tragically lost his life in a single-vehicle crash on Darby Road Tuesday morning, February 8th, 2024. According to Pickaway County Sheriff Matthew O. Hafey, the accident occurred around 11:48 AM near the 7175 marker.
Deputies arriving at the scene found a 2020 Chevrolet engulfed in flames. Investigation revealed the vehicle, traveling westbound on Darby Road, veered off the road, struck a tree, collided head-on with another tree, and finally came to rest in the middle of the road.
Scioto Fire Department pronounced the driver deceased at 12:07 PM. The driver, identified as 40-year-old Bradley R. Winstead, was transported to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office for an autopsy.
Sheriff Hafey expressed gratitude to Scioto Township Fire Department, Harrison Township Fire Department, and the Pickaway County Coroner for their assistance at the scene. The Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
