Chillicothe School Goes on Lock Down After Threat of Firearm

CHILLICOHTE – Chillicothe Intermediate School reported that this morning they went into lock down after a threat came into the school.

According to the school, . At 8:22, Chillicothe Intermediate School was placed on a modified lockdown (no one in or out of the building and classes continue with learning but not foot traffic in the halls). In coordination with Chillicothe Police Department, the building was scanned for a routine security check, and we are happy to report that no firearm or any other illegal items were found and the lockdown was cancelled at 9:08.

The school says that phone calls were sent out to parents.

Police are currently investigating the situation for who is responsible.
