CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Chillicothe Police Department (CPD) handled a range of incidents throughout the city on November 25, 2024, including drug arrests, theft reports, and domestic disputes. Below is a summary of the key cases reported throughout the day:

Drug Possession Arrest at Municipal Court
At approximately 9:14 a.m., officers responded to Chillicothe Municipal Court, where probation officers reported that Trena Butler had an active warrant for her arrest. Upon contact, probation officers discovered drugs and drug paraphernalia in her belongings. Butler was arrested for the warrant and drug possession, and transported to the Ross County Jail. The suspected drugs will be sent to the BCI crime lab for testing, and additional charges may be filed.

Theft of Vehicle on North Bridge Street
At 9:47 a.m., police were called to the 1600 block of North Bridge Street regarding a stolen vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.

Warrant Arrest on U.S. 35
At 11:58 a.m., officers met with an Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper on U.S. 35 near State Route 138 to take custody of Robert Heath, who had an active warrant with the Chillicothe Police Department. Heath was arrested and transported to the Ross County Jail.

Domestic Violence and Harassment Incidents
Officers responded to several domestic-related incidents, including a reported domestic violence dispute on Arch Street at 3:11 p.m., and another domestic violence call at 9:35 p.m. on Tecumseh Drive. Both investigations are ongoing. Additionally, a telecommunications harassment report was filed at 4:58 p.m. on Fourth Street, and a harassment complaint was filed at 9:37 p.m. on Whaley Place. Investigations into both cases are pending.

Found Property Turned In by Local Resident
At 5:30 p.m., Jacob Roe turned in an Apple Series 3 watch he found near Paint and Water Streets. The CPD posted a photo of the watch’s screen saver on social media, and Madison Kemper identified the watch as hers. She confirmed that she would pick up the watch on November 26.

Other Incidents and Calls
Officers also responded to reports of property damage, theft without consent, and multiple warrants. A traffic stop for a failure to file annual registration was initiated at 8:08 p.m. on East Seventh Street, and an unruly juvenile was reported at 8:19 p.m. on East Seventh Street as well.

At 11:42 p.m., officers investigated a complaint behind 321 Clay Street, though further details were unavailable at the time of the report.
