
CHILLICOTHE — Chillicothe Police handled a series of incidents throughout Sunday, November 16, ranging from traffic violations and thefts to disorderly conduct and domestic disputes, according to the department’s daily media log.
Traffic Stops & Violations
Around 1:23 a.m., officers on patrol issued a citation during a traffic stop on N. Bridge Street for failure to obey a traffic-control device. Later in the afternoon, police responded to a hit-skip crash at Sunoco on W. Main Street, where a driver reportedly failed to obey a traffic signal before leaving the scene.
A separate crash with injuries occurred at E. Main Street and Douglas Avenue at 5:27 p.m. Officers reported that one driver assaulted the other following the collision. Citations were issued, and one individual was transported to Adena Regional Medical Center.
Police also responded to another crash at N. Bridge Street and E. Main Street at 7:11 p.m.

Disturbances & Disorderly Conduct
Officers were dispatched to Madison Avenue shortly before 9:30 a.m. for a report of an attempted burglary while the homeowner was inside. Later in the day, police handled a domestic dispute on S. Mulberry Street around 8:07 p.m.
Additional disorderly conduct complaints were reported at Tiffin Towers, where officers also responded to unrelated complaints and a theft later in the day.
Thefts & Property Crimes
Police were called to S. Poplar Street around 11:56 a.m. for theft from a motor vehicle. Another theft was reported at Tiffin Towers just before 2 p.m.
On Caldwell Street, officers investigated an attempted vehicle theft around 1:51 p.m., while nuisance-related criminal mischief was reported on Columbus Street later in the afternoon.
Other Incidents
- Officers responded to Nancy Wilson Way at 11:03 a.m. for an unruly juvenile complaint.
- A suspicious-person call at Donato’s Pizza on N. Bridge Street led officers to discover an individual with a warrant.
- Police also responded to a non-criminal complaint at Tiffin Towers Apartment 216 earlier in the morning.
