Chillicothe, Ohio – The Chillicothe Police Department responded to a series of incidents over the weekend, resulting in multiple investigations across the city.
Early on September 22, officers made contact with two suspicious males on East Main Street around 1:25 a.m. The investigation into their activities is ongoing.
Shortly after, at 1:54 a.m., police were dispatched to Certified Oil on Eastern Avenue for an agency assist call related to drug possession. Further details are pending as the investigation continues.
Traffic enforcement was a focus throughout the day. At approximately 2:45 a.m., a driver was stopped on East Main Street for violating traffic regulations, resulting in a citation.
Later that morning, officers responded to multiple reports of criminal trespassing. At 61 North Bridge Street, a possible theft was reported at 3:57 a.m., and another trespassing complaint was filed at 40 North Bridge Street at 6:43 a.m. Both cases are under investigation.
Throughout the day, officers also addressed various non-criminal incidents, including juvenile complaints at Zane Square Apartments and a reported theft on South Douglas Avenue. A violation of a Temporary Protection Order was reported on Western Avenue as well.
In addition to these calls, officers investigated a domestic dispute at 376 East Fourth Street, and responded to nuisance complaints near South Walnut Street.
Criminal trespassing continued to be a theme, with reports at locations including Maderia Avenue and Rural King, where an attempted theft was reported at 7:54 p.m.
At 10:22 p.m., a suspect with an active warrant was identified on East Fourth Street, and a theft complaint was reported at Duke Duchess Gas Station on Safford Avenue.
The night concluded with an assault complaint at the front of the Law Enforcement Center, where a summons was issued.
The police department continues to investigate these incidents, seeking to enhance community safety and uphold the law.
