CHILLICOTHE, OH — The Chillicothe Police Department dealt with a steady stream of incidents on Monday, June 22, 2026, ranging from traffic accidents and theft complaints to a runaway juvenile, according to the latest daily media report.

The busy day included multiple calls to the North Bridge Street business corridor, a warrant pickup in a neighboring county, and a cited traffic collision.

Sheetz Gas Station Sees Two Separate Incidents

The Sheetz gas station at 1525 N. Bridge Street became the focus of police attention twice on Monday afternoon and evening for entirely unrelated matters.

  • Medical Turn Disorderly: Just before 2:00 PM, officers were dispatched to the gas station regarding a report of an unconscious person. Upon arrival, the situation developed into a disorderly conduct investigation involving an intoxicated individual creating a risk of harm. The investigation remains open.
  • Two-Vehicle Collision: Later that evening, at approximately 8:10 PM, officers responded to a two-vehicle crash right outside the same Sheetz location. According to police records, Debra Sickles was traveling southbound on Bridge Street in a vehicle bearing Ohio registration 670ZTV when she attempted to make a left-hand turn into the gas station. Sickles failed to yield to northbound traffic, striking a vehicle driven by Gregory Smith (Ohio registration GIG3617).Officers reviewed Sheetz surveillance footage, which confirmed that the parking lot’s western exit light was red, meaning Bridge Street traffic had a green light. Sickles was issued a citation for failure to yield while turning left and is scheduled to appear in court on July 6, 2026.

Juvenile Reported Missing

Late Monday night, at 10:18 PM, officers responded to a home at 229 Mill Street regarding a runaway juvenile. Police successfully entered the juvenile’s information into the Law Enforcement Automated Data System (LEADS) as a missing person. No further details have been released at this time.

  • 8:48 AM: A theft complaint drew officers to 1400 N. Bridge Street.
  • 1:19 PM: A second theft without consent was reported at 985 E. Main Street.
  • 7:30 PM: A final theft complaint of the day was logged when officers were dispatched to 893 Columbus Street.
