
CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Chillicothe Police officers responded to 39 calls for service across the city on Monday, Feb. 3, according to the department’s media call-for-service report.
The early morning hours were dominated by extra patrols and well-being checks, with officers checking multiple locations including East Circle Lane, Clark Drive, Springhollow Road, East Main Street, East Union Street, North Scioto Street, and Hillside Avenue. All patrols were reported as checked and cleared without incident.
Police conducted a well-being check on North Court Street around 2:06 a.m. and responded to another on Cedar Heights Road later in the morning. That second check resulted in officers being unable to locate the individual.
At 3:18 a.m., officers responded to an alarm drop on Hillside Avenue, which was handled by another agency. Traffic details were conducted multiple times throughout the day on North Court Street, with all calls cleared.
Later in the morning, officers were dispatched to East Main Street for a report of a suspicious person. No report was taken. A traffic stop on South Court Street resulted in a warning being issued.
During the afternoon, police responded to a found property call on West Main Street, where a report was taken. Officers also handled parking complaints, disabled vehicle calls, and officer standby requests throughout the city.
At 4:07 p.m., officers responded to a trespassing complaint on South Pickaway Street, where an arrest was made. Additional calls included theft reported as a civil matter on East Ohio Street and fraud complaints along U.S. Route 23, both of which did not result in reports.
Evening activity included alarm checks, a property damage call handled by another agency, and multiple well-being checks. Several calls throughout the night, including suspicious person reports and 911 hang-ups, were cleared after officers were unable to locate anyone upon arrival.
The final call of the day occurred just before midnight when Chillicothe Fire Department was requested to provide mutual aid on Kingston Pike. The call was later cleared.
