The Chillicothe Garden Club heard from OSU Extension educator Ryan Slaughter.

Chillicothe –In their first monthly meeting of the year, the Chillicothe Garden Club heard from an educator from the OSU Extension Office on “What’s New in the Garden.”  On March 18th, Ryan Slaughter explained invasive insects, container fruit production, and planting for pollinators in the Chillicothe-Ross County Public Library Main Annex.

He said Chris Bruynis, current Assistant Professor / Extension Educator, wanted Slaughter to start ahead of Bruynis’ retirement. He was hired in September.

Bruynis can be heard giving farm and gardening advice on the local iHeart Radio stations including WKKJ and WBEX…but sometime soon, Slaughter says he will be the voice.

Hear him in his own words in the below video interview.

The Chillicothe Garden Club usually offers plant starts and supplies, as well as publication, at their meetings.
