COLUMBUS -Shots fired near Apple Blossom Lane off Eakin Rd. (West Columbus) according to Columbus Police.
According to police a Male has fire multiple shots. Patrol officers, SWAT and hostage negotiators on scene.
Police are warning to stay out of the area
Update: CPD’s Assault Unit responding, police are using COTA buses to evacuate people in the neighborhood. Police are still reporting man is still inside the home and barricaded, police are working towards a peaceful surrender.
Police are unsure how many people are inside the home at this time.
*UPDATE 12/16/19 3PM: Briggs High School and Lindbergh Elementary school are on lock down. K9 is assisting officers currently on scene.
