LANCASTER: Several fire department units are at the Lancaster Mall for a reported fire at the location.
According to early reports, a fire was reported at Elder Beerman in the mall located at 1730 River Valley Circle around 9:30 pm on Friday.
When fire departments arrived on the scene they didn’t find any serious flames out of the building but are now working inside to see if anything is active or not.
Fire crews on the scene used the ladder truck to check the roof of the mall. The reporter on the scene said they did have some smoke coming from the sign, it is unknown if it is in the roof or isolated to the sign itself at this time.
UPDATE: Fire issue contained, minor smoke from sign only.
