AMANDA, Ohio (April 21, 2023) – The Amanda-Clearcreek Board of Education reviewed and approved the district’s Master Facility Plan during the Board of Education Meeting on Wednesday, April 19.
The master facilities planning process helps the district maintain its dedication to being good stewards of property and funds while accommodating the growth the district has experienced and anticipates in the future. These plans consider needs decades down the road to ensure shorter-term decisions also support the most efficient long-term expansion for the district. In addition, the planning process supports the most effective cost-planning when considering market predictions and fluctuations for materials and construction costs.
“This Master Facilities Plan allows our district to reinvest in the school buildings that our community made possible for our district to build in the early 2000s. These ‘new’ schools are nearly 20 years old, which require maintenance and upkeep to ensure our buildings last well into the future,” said Timothy Edwards, Ed.D, superintendent of Amanda-Clearcreek Local Schools. “This planning process allows our district to make the most economical decisions now, while also supporting the potential needs for future growth decades down the road on our existing campus.”
