Chillicothe — The Trump rally at Ohio University Chillicothe was already warming up at noon, with vendors and conservative proponents on the grounds. I interviewed three of the latter while waiting for the main event at 7:00.

President Donald Trump has been making whirlwind tours at the end of the midterm campaign season. His visit to Chillicothe on October 28th, 2026, will be his third to Ohio.

Arrival plans have understandably been kept quiet, but there is evidence that military helicopters may fly the president from Rickenbacker to Yoctangee Park Annex – or a caravan will come down US 23 – and then down High Street in Chillicothe, where all parking is prohibited. (There are plenty of internet videos of massive V-22 Osprey choppers apparently practicing on Monday afternoon.)

The rally is inside the Shoemaker Center at OUC. Parking was already filling up by noon, and drivers were recommended to park at the Ross County Service Center…more than half a mile away, off the hilltop.

The staging at 11:30 at the Shoemaker Center of Ohio University Chillicothe.
Elana Webb was handing out her lyrics for the song she wrote, “Trump’s Red White and Blue.”
Ed was asking for signatures for a petition to abolish the Ohio property tax.
Don Reed was handing out free books on the role of the United States in Christian prophecy.
