LANCASTER, Ohio — Families searching for a trick-or-treat alternative tailored for younger children can head to AHA! A Children’s Museum this Halloween for a morning of creative, non-spooky festivities.
The museum will host its annual “Abracadabra at AHA!” celebration on Saturday, Oct. 31, from 10 a.m. to noon. Designed specifically with little ones in mind, the event aims to offer all the excitement of the holiday without the frights.
Children are encouraged to attend in costume to participate in Halloween-themed craft stations and explore the museum’s hands-on exhibits. As an added bonus, the first 50 children in attendance will receive a free T-shirt to decorate on-site, provided while supplies last (children must be present to receive a shirt). Every child will also leave with a sweet treat at the end of the morning.
“Halloween should be fun for every family, especially the youngest ones, and Abracadabra at AHA! is Halloween without the scares,” said Julia Hilty, executive director of AHA! A Children’s Museum. “It gives kids a chance to show off their costumes, make Halloween crafts, and enjoy a day of exploration, play, and creativity in a fun, welcoming environment.”
Hilty also expressed gratitude to event sponsor W.M. Davis Infrastructure for helping make the neighborhood celebration possible.
