CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — A 51-year-old Circleville woman has been sentenced to three years of community control following her convictions stemming from an attempted theft at an unoccupied structure on South Court Street.
Nicole Leasure, 51, was sentenced after being convicted of breaking and entering, possession of drugs and possession of criminal tools in connection with an attempted theft at 901 South Court Street, where she was found.
As part of her sentence, Leasure was placed on community control for three years.
The court also warned Leasure that if she violates the terms of her community control, she could be sentenced to 24 months in prison.
Case Background
The case followed Leasure’s arrest in July after authorities responded to the South Court Street property.
Leasure had also been involved in a separate incident shortly afterward.
On July 30, 2026, Circleville police attempted to stop a white Ford Flex in the area of Court Street at approximately 10 a.m. According to police, the driver, identified as Leasure, refused to stop and fled down Logan Street.
The brief pursuit ended when the vehicle stopped in a grassy area. Officers took Leasure into custody without further incident.
She was transported to the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Jail and booked on a charge of failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer.
At the time of that arrest, Leasure had recently been released on bond following the South Court Street case involving breaking and entering, possession of drugs and possession of criminal tools.
The recent sentencing resolves the South Court Street criminal case, while the terms of her three-year community control will now govern her supervision.
