New park space on Lexington Avenue features playground access as grass areas continue to grow
ASHVILLE, Ohio — The Village of Ashville has announced that West Side Park is now open for residents and visitors to enjoy.
The new community park, located at Lexington Avenue and W. Station Street, provides a new recreational space for families and community members.
Village officials said portions of the park have been temporarily sectioned off to allow newly planted grass seed time to germinate and establish healthy growth. However, access points remain open so visitors can safely use the playground while landscaping improvements continue.
The village is inviting residents to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the new park on Tuesday, Aug. 18, at 10 a.m.
Officials said the event will provide an opportunity for the community to gather and celebrate the addition of the new public space.
