CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Chillicothe Police officers responded to a wide range of calls on Tuesday, July 22, including multiple domestic disputes, a theft investigation, an OVI arrest, a warrant arrest, and several disorderly conduct complaints throughout the city.
The day began just after midnight when officers were dispatched to 574 E. Water Street after receiving a 911 hang-up call. The incident was documented as disorderly conduct.
Later in the morning, police responded to the area of Chillicothe High School on Yoctangee Parkway after reports of a suspicious woman. The incident is being investigated as criminal trespass.
At approximately 11:17 a.m., officers investigated a two-vehicle crash on Nelson Drive involving an assured clear distance ahead violation.
Around noon, officers were dispatched to Deerpath for a reported domestic dispute. The incident remains under investigation.
Police also responded to 555 W. Fifth Street after receiving a complaint involving alleged menacing by stalking. That investigation is ongoing.
Another domestic-related disorderly conduct call was reported shortly before 3 p.m. at 820 N. Bridge Street.
At approximately 4:05 p.m., officers were dispatched to American Vantage Warehouse, 213 E. Water Street, after a reported theft. The case remains under investigation.
A separate juvenile-related complaint was reported on Maderia Avenue later that afternoon, with police continuing their investigation.
At 4:17 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of North High and West Main streets, resulting in the arrest of a driver for operating a vehicle under the influence (OVI).
Police also made an arrest while serving a warrant on Columbus Street shortly after 5 p.m.
Around 5:20 p.m., officers responded to a reported fight on Dayton Street. A report was taken, and no further information was immediately released.
At Chillicothe Middle School on Yoctangee Parkway, officers were dispatched to investigate a disorderly conduct complaint that resulted in an investigation into allegations of falsification.
While on patrol just before 9 p.m., an officer observed an alleged criminal trespass in progress at the Amoco station, 61 N. Bridge Street. The investigation remains ongoing.
Police were later called to East Second Street for another domestic dispute that is still under investigation.
At approximately 10:17 p.m., officers responded to Sheetz on North Bridge Street regarding a trespassing complaint, which was handled as a non-criminal incident.
The final call of the day came shortly before 11:30 p.m. when officers were dispatched to the Law Enforcement Complex on East Main Street regarding found property.
In total, the Chillicothe Police Department logged 16 incidents on July 22. Several investigations remain active.
