
CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — The Mid-State League (MSL) officially closed its 2026 spring sports chapter Monday evening, hosting its annual Spring Sports Banquet to honor the region’s top student-athletes, coaches, and newly minted Hall of Fame members.
High-performing athletes and administrators representing Circleville High School and Logan Elm made waves across both the performance stages and the academic All-League rolls during the star-studded event.
Circleville Tigers Capture Major Track & Field and Softball Honors
Circleville High School put together a commanding showing in the MSL Buckeye Division, anchored by dominant individual performances in track and field and softball:
- Field Event Powerhouses: The Tiger Boys track and field team swept the throwing events on the MSL First Team. Senior Liam McConnell captured the league title in the Discus, while fellow senior Auri Travis secured First Team honors in the Shot Put.
- Diamond Standouts: On the softball field, Circleville fought to a 14-12 overall record (7-5 MSL), landing senior Claire Davis and junior Kaylee West on the Buckeye Division First Team. Junior Rylee Starner secured a Second Team selection, and Jenna Boring earned an Honorable Mention.
- Tennis & Baseball Success: On the tennis courts, Will Flory earned First Team All-MSL honors, leading the Tigers to a fifth-place finish. On the baseball diamond, junior Glavine Bigam was named to the First Team, while Zack Cassidy and Brady Bell locked down Second Team honors.
Logan Elm and Regional Standouts Claim Top Hardware
Neighboring Logan Elm High School also took home marquee recognition, highlighted by senior Claire King, who was named the Buckeye Division Senior Female Wayne Roller Award Winner. King also won the league title in the Pole Vault, joining teammate Marlo Smith (Discus Champion) on the Track & Field First Team.
The night’s ultimate honor belonged to Fairfield Union head coach Rob Myers, who was officially inducted into the Mid-State League Hall of Fame Class of 2026. Myers, an Ohio State running alumnus and multi-time state champion, was named the Boys Track & Field Championship Coach after guiding Fairfield Union to the Buckeye team title with 144.5 points. Grove City Christian claimed the Cardinal Division boys title.
Academic All-League Excellence
Proving their dedication extended far beyond the playing fields, several Circleville student-athletes earned Academic All-League status by maintaining a varsity letter alongside a 3.5 or greater cumulative GPA:
- Baseball: Hudson Phalin, Zachary Bell, Jack Kline, Glavine Bigam, Jacob Cross, Brady Reuter, Cailen Johnson, and Chase Foster.
- Softball: Audrey Cowdery, Claire Davis, Rylee Starner, Kaylee West, Brooklyn Cramer, and Raegen Wesalowski.
- Boys Tennis: Will Flory, Jon Mills, Ashton Groff, and Bear Cuic.
- Track & Field: Lucas Cameron, Christian Kellough, Liam McConnell, and Maxton McKeivier.
