
CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — Local law enforcement kept a brisk pace on Monday, answering dozens of emergency calls that spanned several traffic crashes, property crimes, and domestic disputes across town.
According to the latest daily Call for Service (CFS) log released by the Circleville Police Department on Tuesday morning, officers responded to a total of 46 incidents over a 24-hour period on June 8, 2026.
Crash Surge Highlights Busy Traffic Day
Traffic accidents dominated the daytime shift, keeping patrol officers moving between major roadways:
- Injury Accidents: Officers responded to two injury crashes on Monday. The first occurred early in the morning at 6:36 a.m. on Northridge Road, followed by a second midday crash at 12:14 p.m. on North Court Street. Full reports were taken for both incidents.
- Arrest and Citations: A non-injury accident at 2:24 p.m. on South Court Street resulted in an immediate arrest. Citations were also issued to drivers involved in separate afternoon fender-benders on North Court Street (11:50 a.m.) and West High Street (2:51 p.m.).
- Property Damage: Additional minor accidents requiring official reports were documented on Northridge Road (8:59 a.m.) and Clark Drive (5:39 p.m.).
Property Crimes, Threats, and Domestic Disputes
Beyond traffic management, officers investigated several structural and personal safety complaints:
- Breaking and Entering: Officers filed a criminal report following a morning breaking-and-entering and theft complaint on Town Street at 9:52 a.m.
- Protection Orders and Threats: At 2:13 p.m., police responded to Walnut Street to document a report regarding criminal threats, harassment, and a violation of a protection order. Later, at 5:01 p.m., a threats complaint on North Scioto Street required emergency medical intervention, resulting in a squad transport to the hospital.
- Domestic & Civil Trouble: Officers filed a formal report following a late-night domestic dispute on Barry Drive at 10:11 p.m. Earlier incidents involving domestic trouble on East Mound Street and a civil dispute on Barnes Avenue were resolved without formal charges.
Routine Checks Keep Neighborhoods Secure
The department maintained a high visibility presence throughout the night and day, conducting focused proactive policing measures. Officers logged eight “Extra Patrol” checks on East Ohio Street, North Court Street, and Sycamore Drive, with all areas checked and cleared.
Additionally, the shift included six distinct well-being checks, four commercial alarm drops, and two property releases at police headquarters on East Franklin Street. The evening wrapped up with a final vandalism call on Sycamore Drive at 10:24 p.m.
