CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — Summer traditions are returning to Circleville as the Pickaway County Fair prepares to kick off eight days of agriculture, entertainment, and family fun later this month.
The annual event will run from June 20 to June 27 at the Pickaway County Agriculture & Event Center, drawing families, exhibitors, and visitors from across the region. As one of the county’s most anticipated summer traditions, the fair bridges the gap between local agricultural heritage and modern entertainment, showcasing months of hard work by local youth and volunteers.
Beyond fair week, the Pickaway County Agriculture & Event Center stands as a premier regional venue, hosting community events, trade shows, music festivals, and national competitions throughout the year. However, the late-June fair remains its signature showcase.
Grandstand Lineup Packaged with High-Octane Action
For many attendees, the heart of the fair’s evening entertainment lies at the grandstands. This year’s nightly lineup features a mix of traditional events and high-energy motorsports:
- Saturday, June 20 & Sunday, June 21: The week opens with traditional Harness Racing.
- Sunday Afternoon, June 21: The crowd-favorite Roundtown Wiener Dog Derby takes over the track.
- Monday, June 22: The arena transitions to rodeo action with the Rough E Rodeo.
- Tuesday, June 23 – Thursday, June 25: A three-day block of motorsports featuring Motocross (Tuesday), Motor Mayhem (Wednesday), and Autocross (Thursday).
- Friday, June 26: The heavy machinery arrives for the Truck & Tractor Pulls.
- Saturday, June 27: The fair concludes with the smash-hit Demolition Derby.
Celebrating Youth and Local Agriculture
At its core, the fair serves as a generational celebration of the county’s agricultural roots. Local 4-H and FFA members have spent months preparing a variety of projects, raising livestock, and developing specialized skills specifically for this week.
Visitors can stroll through the livestock barns and exhibition halls to view creative arts, homemaking displays, and educational youth exhibits. The week of intense showmanship competitions will culminate with the annual Junior Fair Livestock Sale, which highlights the dedication of Pickaway County’s next generation of agricultural leaders.
Plan Your Visit
In addition to the exhibits and grandstand events, the fairgrounds will feature a full midway of rides, classic fair food, and family-friendly activities throughout the week.
