LAURELVILLE, Ohio — Renowned glass artist Jack Pine officially revealed his highly anticipated 2026 Mother’s Day Pumpkin today, kicking off the countdown to the annual Glass Garden Art Festival in the Hocking Hills.
The festival, a free three-day event held at Jack Pine Studio, will run from May 1 through May 3. While the new collectible pumpkin will be available for online purchase, festival attendees will have the exclusive first opportunity to purchase the piece in person.

A Tribute to Spring and Service
The 2026 design is a “lilac beauty,” featuring rosy and garden-green highlights paired with Pine’s signature iridescent metallic spines. The piece is topped with a lavender-based stem that transitions into an opaque “lily of the valley” white.
“I was inspired by the elegance of a late spring garden and the promise of summer it brings,” Pine said during the unveiling. “It’s almost as if you can smell the garden in this pumpkin.”
Continuing a personal tradition of honoring his mother, Pine announced that 10% of all Mother’s Day pumpkin sales will be donated to Fairfield County Meals on Wheels. The organization provides critical nutrition and supportive services, including housekeeping and handyman help, to local seniors.

New Interactive Experiences
For the first time in the festival’s history, visitors can step behind the blowpipe. Through a partnership with Jason Mack Glass, the event will feature a “Make Your Own Mini Glass Garden Art” experience. For $40, participants aged 7 and up can join a 20-to-30-minute workshop to create their own glass planter pick, pendant, or mini pumpkin.

Festival Highlights and “Taste of Morels”
The 11-acre studio grounds will be transformed into an outdoor gallery featuring thousands of glass pumpkins, garden art, and the work of 30 guest artists.
Foodies can look forward to the “Taste of Morels” event on Friday, May 1. For $35, guests can sample specially crafted morel mushroom dishes from three different food trucks and vote for their favorite. Fresh and frozen morels will also be available for sale, though organizers warn they typically sell out fast.
