Mid-day traffic on East Main Street was interrupted by an unconventional vandalism call. At 12:35 p.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of South Brownell and East Main Street following reports of a female intentionally painting the sidewalk.

Violence was reported in the heart of the city’s business district Wednesday afternoon. At 1:57 p.m., an individual arrived at the Law Enforcement Complex (LEC) to report an assault that had just occurred at the U.S. Post Office on South Walnut Street.

The investigation into the altercation is ongoing. Additionally, police were called to Columbus Street at 4:14 p.m. for a separate assault report, which carried the serious secondary charge of Knowingly Failing to Provide for a Functionally Impaired Person.

Parking Lot Hit-and-Run: Police took a “Hit Skip” report at the Frisch’s Big Boy on North Bridge Street at 6:19 p.m. after a driver reportedly struck a vehicle and fled the scene.

⚖️ Warrant Arrests and Jail Bookings

Jonathan Vanderpool: Turned himself in at the LEC lobby at 3:00 p.m. for a Failure to Appear (FTA) warrant regarding a resisting arrest charge. He was held in lieu of bond.

Francis Vass Jr.: Was served a warrant at 9:00 p.m. for a Failure to Appear on an original charge of Driving Under Suspension (DUS).

Early Morning Traffic Stop: A red Ford Focus was pulled over on Vincent Street at 2:39 a.m., resulting in an arrest on an outstanding warrant.
