Circleville, OH — Roundtown Players Theatre will offer a fresh twist on holiday entertainment this December with the debut of its Holiday Trio, a single evening featuring three distinct one-act productions. The performances will run December 5–14 at Roundtown Players Theatre, located at 165 E. Main St. in Circleville.
The Holiday Trio was developed from a concept by longtime RTP member Laura Mears, who sought to create opportunities for emerging directors within the organization. This year’s event will highlight the work of three first-time directors: Ira Winner, Ka Feola, and Brendon Gaines, each a familiar face to the RTP stage, stepping into a new creative role.
The lineup includes three unique holiday-themed plays. Christmas Carol Inc. by Brian Marsh, directed by Winner, delivers a contemporary comedic take on a classic Christmas tale. The Living Nativity by Karen Jones, directed by Feola, offers a heartfelt story centred on community and connection. Completing the trio is Pat Cook’s Twas the Night Before the Night Before Christmas, directed by Gaines, a lighthearted comedy focused on the chaos that unfolds in the days leading up to the holiday. All three productions will be presented back-to-back each performance night with brief breaks in between.
Full production details, including synopsis and cast and crew lists, are available at our.show/rtpholidaytrio.
Performances will take place on December 5, 6, 12, and 13 at 7:30 p.m., with matinee performances on December 7 and 14 at 2:30 p.m. Tickets may be purchased online at the link above, and a limited number will be sold at the door.
Roundtown Players also wishes to inform patrons that the theatre’s chair lift is currently out of service. Updates regarding accessibility accommodations will be announced on RTP’s Facebook page as information becomes available.
With three debut directors, three distinct holiday stories, and one cohesive evening of seasonal entertainment, the Holiday Trio promises to be a memorable addition to the community’s December festivities.
