CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — The Circleville Police Department handled a wide range of incidents on Tuesday, November 25, according to the department’s daily media log. In total, officers responded to 27 calls for service, ranging from suspicious activity reports to traffic stops and property damage complaints.

The overnight hours began with several extra patrol checks on East Mound Street and Walnut Street, both of which were found to be secure. Shortly after 2:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to East Main Street and later Clark Drive for suspicious circumstances and a suspicious person, but in both cases the individuals were gone before police arrived.

A disturbance on Turner Drive and a noise complaint on Williams Drive also resulted in no suspects located.

Later in the morning, officers responded to Barry Drive for a reported runaway, though no formal report was taken. Police did file reports for a theft on Logan Street and property damage incidents on Hayward Avenue and Nicholas Drive.

At 12:23 p.m., officers investigated a hit-skip crash on Lancaster Pike, clearing the initial call and taking a report on a second hit-skip just minutes later. Additional reports were filed for a protection order violation on East Franklin Street and threats or harassment on East Mound Street.

Circleville Police also assisted with a fire department complaint on U.S. 23 and a well-being check at Circleville Plaza Drive, both handled by other agencies.

Officers issued a citation after responding to a non-injury crash, and later that afternoon handled a noise complaint on Second Avenue, which was determined to be a civil matter.

At 4:33 p.m., emergency crews transported a patient from an alarm drop on Evergreen Avenue, and later responded to a mutual aid fire call on Island Road, where another individual was transported to the hospital.

The evening brought additional calls for suspicious vehicles, neighbor trouble, a traffic stop on South Court Street, and multiple suspicious person reports on Huston Street and Pontious Lane, all of which resulted in no one being located.

The final call of the night came at 9:47 p.m. for an alarm drop on East Main Street, which was checked and cleared.
