CIRCLEVILLE — The Circleville Police Department responded to nearly 50 calls for service on Tuesday, August 26, ranging from extra patrol checks and traffic complaints to reports of vandalism, threats, and domestic trouble.
The day began in the early morning hours with several extra patrol requests across town, including along North Court Street, Maumee Drive, and Stoutsville Pike. All checked okay. Around 5:30 a.m., officers responded to an alarm drop on U.S. 23, which was cleared without incident.
Later in the morning, officers investigated a parking complaint on East Franklin Street, recovered found property on Nicholas Drive, and responded to a vandalism report on East Mill Street. A threats and harassment complaint was also reported on South Pickaway Street.
In the afternoon, police took reports from a non-injury crash on North Pickaway Street and a violation of a protection order on Half Avenue. Additional calls included fraud on Hayward Street, a property release on East Franklin Street, and a dirt bike/ATV complaint on Sherwood Drive.
During the evening, officers conducted a well-being check on Rustic Drive, investigated a suspicious person on Watt Street, and responded to a domestic trouble call on South Court Street. A fight was also reported on North Court Street just before 10:30 p.m., though it was cleared without further incident.
Throughout the day, police were called multiple times to check on homeless individuals, with most cases either checked okay or resolved upon arrival. Extra patrols continued through late evening, with the final call of the night logged just before midnight.
In total, the Circleville Police Department recorded 49 calls for service on August 26.
