Chillicothe Police Respond to Thefts, Trespassing, and Disorderly Conduct on August 17

CHILLICOTHE — City police were kept busy on Sunday, August 17, 2025, responding to a string of incidents ranging from thefts and trespassing to disorderly conduct and drug possession, according to the Chillicothe Police Department’s daily media log.

The day began shortly after midnight when officers were dispatched to the Amoco Gas Station on North Bridge Street for a holdup alarm, classified as a criminal trespass call.

Around 5:30 a.m., officers investigated a reported theft on East 5th Street, followed by another theft complaint less than an hour later on South Walnut Street.

At 6:29 a.m., police responded to Caldwell Street regarding a vandalism report. A short time later, officers were called to the area of South Paint and East Fifth streets for a possible injury accident, which remains under investigation.

By mid-morning, officers were dispatched to Famlee Salon on South Paint Street for a criminal trespass complaint involving a request to bar an individual from the property.

Later in the afternoon, police responded to a domestic dispute on North Sugar Street, then to a crash outside Dunham Sports on North Bridge Street.

Around 7:35 p.m., a criminal trespass complaint at Warner Avenue resulted in a summons being issued.

The evening remained busy, with officers called to Taco Bell on North Bridge Street around 8:11 p.m. for a report of disorderly conduct involving fighting and threatening behavior.

At 9:36 p.m., a traffic stop on East 2nd Street led to a drug possession case involving a suspected Schedule I or II substance.

The final incident of the day came at 10:50 p.m. when police responded to Walmart on River Trace Lane regarding a reported theft. That case is still under investigation.

In total, Chillicothe police recorded 12 incidents on August 17. Several cases remain under investigation.
