Chillicothe Police Respond to Multiple Incidents Across City on July 24

CHILLICOTHE, OH — July 25, 2025 — The Chillicothe Police Department responded to a variety of incidents across the city on Thursday, July 24, ranging from traffic violations and thefts to disorderly conduct and drug investigations. A total of 18 reports were logged, highlighting a busy day for local law enforcement.

Among the early morning calls, officers responded to an OVI incident on East Main Street at 4:11 a.m., followed by a report just minutes later at the Speedway on East Main where an individual was reportedly refusing to leave. That case remains under investigation.

Later in the morning, police investigated criminal mischief on McKell Street after a vehicle’s paint was scratched. A dog bite incident at ARMC on Limestone Boulevard also prompted a response and is under review. Additional welfare and disorderly calls were handled on S. Mulberry, Cleveland Street, and the Law Enforcement Complex.

Just after noon, an officer conducted a traffic stop near Race Street, resulting in citations for texting while driving and operating a vehicle without a valid license. A hit-skip accident was reported on North Bridge Street, while a theft without consent was logged shortly after on Plum Street.

Police served two warrants—one on North Paint Street and another on North Bridge Street, where Bryan McClarren was taken into custody near McDonald’s. McClarren was held in the Ross County Jail on a probation violation tied to a previous theft case.

A significant development came at 3:14 p.m., when detectives launched an investigation into drug trafficking involving cocaine within the city. Additional incidents of criminal trespass, disorderly conduct due to intoxication, and theft and obstruction at Walmart on River Trace Lane were also reported.

The day concluded with officers responding to a missing child report on West 2nd Street at 8:57 p.m., categorized as an unruly child case. That investigation is ongoing.
