
CHILLICOTHE, OH – May 10, 2025 — The Chillicothe Police Department responded to multiple incidents throughout the city on Thursday, May 9, ranging from vandalism and trespassing to an illegal pass of a stopped school bus.
According to the department’s daily media report:
- Vending Machine Vandalized: Officers received a report of theft and criminal mischief after an individual broke into a vending machine. The caller met with police in the department lobby to report the damage. The investigation is ongoing.
- Trespassing at Laundromat: Clara Walters was found sleeping on the floor of Trippies Laundromat on South Walnut Street. When asked to leave, Walters reportedly became disorderly. Officers barred her from the property at the request of employees.
- Vandalism at Whaley Place: Police are investigating a criminal mischief incident reported at Whaley Place. Details were limited as the investigation continues.
- Attempted Traffic Stop and Littering: An officer attempted to stop a male with active warrants on North Bridge Street. During the incident, the suspect was also observed littering from a moving vehicle and obstructing official business. No arrest details were provided in the report.
