Traffic Stop Removes More Drugs off the Streets

Sheriff Lavender would like to commend Deputy Ronnie Johnson for his activities yesterday.

Deputy Johnson conducted a traffic stop yesterday while patrolling on Blain Highway shortly after 3:00 p.m.

The vehicle was occupied by 38 year old Jeremiah Miller (driving) and 28 year old Emily Leasure. The driver was found to have a suspended license.

Deputy Johnson conducted a search of the vehicle and discovered suspected Heroin, Drug Abuse Instruments, and Drug Paraphernalia.

Mr. Miller was charged with No Operators License, and Possession of Drug Abuse Instruments. Mrs. Leasure was charged with Possession of Drug Abuse Instruments.

Additional charges are pending lab results.
