PICKAWAY – The Teays Valley Educational Foundation recently awarded Teays Valley East Middle School school counselor Mary Langenfeld a $2,300 grant to start the ROX (Ruling Our eXperiences) program for all girls at East. The mission of ROX is to equip girls with the knowledge and skills necessary to live healthy, independent, productive and violence-free lives. Last school year, Langenfeld started this program at Teays Valley High School through a grant from the Foundation.

“Being able to have the Foundation support ROX back-to-back years is truly an honor and goes to show how impactful this group is, and this year the foundation is supporting three groups at my school so it can be in all grades. I’m so grateful for the Foundation and excited to empower the girls at East,” Langenfeld said.
